At St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Community, Parent Formation is an essential part of the faith journey, recognizing parents as the primary educators of their children in the Catholic faith. This program provides opportunities for parents to grow in their own understanding of Church teachings while actively supporting their child’s religious education and sacramental preparation.
Through scheduled sessions, parents are invited to deepen their knowledge of Scripture, prayer, and Catholic traditions, while also receiving guidance on how to live and share the faith at home. As reflected in parish formation programs, participation in Parent Formation is often a required component alongside children’s classes, emphasizing the importance of family-centered faith formation.
Rooted in community and accompaniment, Parent Formation helps equip families to grow together in faith, strengthen their commitment to regular Mass attendance, and build a strong spiritual foundation within the home.
